    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note
Cecile Tremblay, Chambolle Musigny, Les Cabottes, 2013

Dark fruit flavours of cassis and blueberry; intense brooding flavours with touches of earth, spice and mineral. Aged in just less than a third new oak, and fermented with 30% of whole bunches. A blend of three parcels dotted around the Chambolle appellation

    ABV:
    13%

(from three parcels, two of them on rocky shallow soil and all three in relatively sunny spots; Tremblay has cut back on her use of new oak for this wine owing to the natural reductiveness of the terroir): Good deep red. Raspberry and musky coffee on the nose. Juicy, precise and gripping if a bit reduced, conveying lovely grip and precision to the flavors of dark raspberry, crushed rock and smoky minerality. A touch drying on the finish and tricky to taste today in its reductive state.
