    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note
Follin Arbelet, Corton, Grand Cru, 2020

Wonderfully red fruited and floral, with fine, detailed, lace-like tannins; this is one of the prettiest Corton’s you are likely to come across – a wine that combines detail and delicacy to superb effect. Great freshness and a long fine whispered finish. Gorgeous. This comes from the south facing Le Charlemagne plot, adjacent to Frank’s white Corton Charlemagne plot. The white soils here produce a Corton of great refinement and elegance.

The 2021 Corton Grand Cru has a really lovely nose with raspberry, briary and sous-bois scents. Poised and quite complex - very endearing. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, fine definition, a hint of white pepper with a well-balanced and delineated finish. Quite persistent on the aftertaste, this is a Corton that is well-worth investigating.
