    The 2018 Chablis Forêts 1er Cru is clearly a step up from the Village Cru, displaying better definition and mineralité, smoke and subtle white chocolate notes, and more energy than the Village Cru. The palate is very well balanced with a spicy, tangy, marmalade-tinged opening. Great depth here, and a powerful, lightly honeyed finish. Excellent.
