    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note

True to type, more body and richer than its stable mates. Rich, intense and flavoursome, impressive nicely-defined fruit notes of nectarine, peach apricot, fruit blossom and acacia honey character. Unctuous but more restrained than the 2015. A blockbuster. Aged and fermented in 20% new oak barriques and from a plot of 47-year-old vines where the high clay content in the soils tends to produce full bodied wines.

    Josh Raynolds,
    Vinous
(made from vines that were planted in 1960) Light bright yellow. Aromas of ripe nectarine, violet and honey, lifted by vibrant smoky mineral and ginger nuances. Broad and velvety on the palate, offering densely packed yet lively orchard and pit fruit and melon flavors that become smokier and spicier with air. The nectarine note comes back emphatically on the impressively long finish, which shows no rough edges.
