    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note
Clusel Roch, Côte Rôtie, La Viaillère, 2010

Once part of the classic Côte-Rôtie blend, the 27-year-old vines of La Viaillère are starting to produce such outstanding wine that Clusel-Roch, as of 2009, have started to bottle it up as a separate cuvée. Intense and so charming, this offers ripe, classy flavours of juicy ripe cherries, hints of rose petal, loganberry and raspberry, finishing on touches of Asian spice and peppercorn. Such a mix of sweetness, finesse and freshness. Exquisite.

Inky ruby. Heady, mineral-accented aromas of black raspberry and blueberry preserves and pungent flowers are accented by a spicy topnote. Red and dark berry liqueur flavors show excellent depth and vivacity thanks to a spine of zesty minerality and building spiciness. Finishes with impressively persistent dark berry and floral qualities, building tannins and excellent, mineral-driven persistence.
