    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note

Bold, hearty and generous, this boasts mouth-coating, juicy velvety dark bramble fruit. Ripe and luscious, forthcoming and immediately likeable this may not be the most concentrated Ampodium but it will drink well young and find many admirers. As ever a minimum of 90% whole bunch fermentation was used to keep the wine as fresh as possible. A blend of top quality vineyards across the estate including Tupin and Viaillere, all fermented with whole bunches and aged in large demi-muid casks, a maximum of 10% of which are new.

Opaque ruby. Spice-accented aromas of black raspberry, violet and smoky minerals, plus a hint of cola. Smooth and expansive on the palate, offering juicy cherry, dark berry, floral pastille and cracked pepper flavors and a hint of smokiness. Fleshes out slowly with air and shows excellent clarity and repeating spiciness on the long, discreetly tannic finish.
