Tasting Note:

Really glorious fragrant nose, very complex with sweet yellow fruits, some delicate herbs, then a flood of orange, bitter citrus and salty minerals on the palate. This betrays some richness from vintage, but finishes very clean and clear and well balanced. Complex flavours, an entirely spontaneous fermentation and a spicy slatey finish. Seligmacher is a steep, pure slate vineyard in the cool village of Lorch, north of Rudesheim.
