Tasting Note:

More taut and closed than the Alte Reben but also most complex. There's perfume here but also very taut corset like structure holding the fruit in. Salted peach and raspberry and a long mineral finish. Opening up this has drive and energy and lifted notes of plum skin and complex minerality. In the background an interesting note of savoury smoke. Definitely more to come here. The flagship vineyard, home to Wildenstein, that is planted with a mix of Pinot Noir clones and Spatburgunder clones.
