Tasting Note:

Sommerhalde is the highest vineyard in the range, backing onto Forest, and generally the coolest site. Taking a bit of time to open up, the major theme here is complex smoky umami suggestive notes alongside raspberry and white flowers. Structurally, this is taut and linear, driving and focused. Wild berry fruit, some salty stones, wild plum and mouth-watering purity and minerality. Highly promising, but patience required.
