Tasting Note:

A touch of fennel and pollen and then sweet oak above light cream, smoked butter and lemon zest. a certain amount of smoky reduction frames the nose, but there appears to be plenty of fruit behind it and a sense of depth and reserve. Salty and zippy across the palate, with a wash of citrus fruit, salt, fine lime and mango, this is very much a taut, smoky chardonnay, but the acidity is so ripe and juicy as to make it a really balanced, refined glass of wine.
