Here the fruit is higher toned and off set by a sense of crushed rocks and even a touch of citrus. On the palate this is both deeper than the Malterdinger, and a little more energetic, with beautifully pure fruit, a core of sappy minerality and a wonderfully clear and long finish. The overriding sense here is a wine full of life and excitement, but also complete ripeness. Mouthwatering Spatburgunder.
