Here the botrytis elements seem to step up a gear - a crystalline apricot character on the nose belies what can only be described as fruity liquid gold on the palate. Honey and lime and grapefruit notes coalesce in a very fluid, totally seamless palate that has amazing concentration and intensity and is utterly Zen like in its focus. Myriad layers of sun drenched, shrivelled golden fruit here dancing in time with a shower of slate and salt. Effortless and glorious. This is Goldcap at its very finest.
