Tasting Note:

Himmelreich's typically poised and mineral laden nose precedes a palate of startling clarity; plum, red currant, a touch of blackcurrant leaf - there is really very little in the way of dried fruit characteristics. The finish is dense and laden with chewy extract, a touch of wild herb and a mineral earthy character adding a satisfying sense of groundedness. A large part of the grapes here were golden and shrivelled, picked just at the start of the onset of Botrytis. Great length and persistence without force. Bravo.
