Tasting Note:

This approaches at a steady pace, a gentle stream of grassy, limey exotically floral aromas that are highly interwoven and need a little air to unwind and separate, revealing notes of wild strawberry and cherry blossom as they do. The palate plots a course through a maze of complex yet sleek minerality, fractured slate mingling with waxed green apple, wild red berry, fennel pollen, salt and hop notes. Concentrated intensity meets a pretty wild complexity of flavours from this famous, steep, south east facing red slate vineyard – along with Pettenthal, a key site in the Roter Hang. Marvellous.
