7.5% Alcohol, 93g/litre sugar. There is clearly some botrytis here, much more noticeable than with the Kabinett and Spatlese, and therefore represents a step up in richness but it is still a beautifully pure and precise wine. Made from grapes that had started to shirvel that still contained plenty of juice, this is a racy, vibrant mouthful of wine, true to the classic saar style this shows a taut, steely backbone supporting the ripe apricot and exotic fruit notes, with touches of fresh blood oranges and salty minerals. Energetic and bursting with fruit.
