Coming in both red and white variants, Rossese is a relatively rarely seen varietal found largely on the Ligurian coast of northwestern Italy (for the red) and planted in abundance around the colonies and areas of Sino and Roddino in the Langhe region of the Cuneo province in Piedmont (the white). Rossese is known for producing light red wines that are fresh, fruity and best consumed young and flavoursome, golden, whites with good acidity levels that are again best enjoyed in their infancy.
