Tasting Note:

Open, outgoing and bursting with pungent sweet fruit and liquorice notes betraying its predominantly Serralunga origins, similar flavours are replicated on the palate alongside some brighter touches of red berry and complex coffee bean characteristics. Fine satin-textured tannins and a very perky freshness compliment the ripe fruit perfectly. Aged in a mixture of large Slavonian oak “botti” and smaller barriques for two years with no new oak, Azelia’s Barolo is produced uniquely from de-classified “Cru” grapes, 70% from Serralunga single vineyards, the rest from those of the Castiglione Falleto commune.
