Tasting Note:

Aromatic, red summer fruit flavours of strawberry and raspberry with notes of red cherry and mineral too. Vital, haunting and very refined with great length and tremendous lift to the finish. Elegance and intensity. The Bricco Fiasco is a relatively sandy plot at the top of the Fiasco hill in Castiglione Falletto, planted with 70 year old vines. Contrary to the regular Barolo the wine is aged in oak barriques, but only 10% new wood, again to limit oak influence - a direction Azelia have been going in for some years now. This sandy soil gives incredibly aromatic and fruity characteristics to the wine.
