Tasting Note:

Lush, ripe, berry fruit flavours infused with notes of cinnamon and dark chocolate, dense, smooth but vibrant. Heavily spiced notes of liquorice with lifting touches of fresh cut flower. Multi-layered and very well balanced, this is potentially the best Margheria Azelia have made. A single vineyard Cru in the Serralunga commune that used to go into the regular Barolo, but which Azelia started bottling up separately from the 2003 vintage. Aged like the normal Barolo, in pre-used large Slavonian oak botti and smaller barriques. The vines are now
40 years old.
