Tasting Note:

Charming, fine blueberry and dark hedgerow fruit aromas, similarly attractive fruit on the palate joined by complex herbal notes and a distinctively fine, smooth, chalky minerality. Dark, suave but vivid flavours with a twist of salt. A barolo of character, presence but great purity and elegance, too. A prime south and south west facing 55 year old plot in the Serralunga d'Alba commune planted on white clay and limestone soils. Aged in the traditional way, for 28 months in large slavonian oak casks - "botti."
