Tasting Note:

A first class single vineyard from the Serralunga commune whose wines are very distinct from those of Bricco Fiasco, showing this zone’s tell-tale signs of liquorice, spice and dark fruits. The 2005 is bold, classic stuff, sturdy but showing great balance too, rich bramble and black cherry fruits, strong flavours of dark chocolate with a high cocoa percentage, there is significantly more structure here than the other Crus but this is far from unwieldy so smothered is it in fruit, whilst the acids are fresh and lively. A blockbuster.
