Tasting Note:

A high quality Barolo blend of Sarmassa, Sarmassa Migna Merenda and Terlo. Suave open and luscious small wild strawberry fruit mixed with notes of balsamic and salt. Rich and smooth with a tannic twist that provides a bit of grip, definition and freshness. Attractive and powerful at the same time. This was fermented for 35 days on the skins, a little less than usual because 2011 was a slightly hotter vintage. Aged in 25hl german and slavonian oak casks for around 30 months before two years aging in bottle.
