Nebbiolo | Vespolina

Boca, 2013

Tasting Note:

Herbal, bracing, crisp red berry and cherry fruit. There is a clarity of flavour and alpine purity to this that lifts the spirits. Energetic, linear, crunchy red fruits burst out of the glass. An edge of austerity to begin but finishing on the most wonderful, vital, wild strawberry and raspberry fruit. From two hectares of vineyard in the Volcanic hillsides of Boca, 450 metres above sea level. A blend of 85 % Nebbiolo and 15% Vespolina, aged in large used Slavonian oak casks for two and a half years before bottling.
