Tasting Note:

A truly extraordinary and unique Super Tuscan. A single varietal fermented and aged in 70% new oak barriques, on the nose there is bags of northern Rhône- style syrah varietal character, beautiful notes of violet, red berry, blueberry salt and pepper, soy, the palate is dense, layered and powerful but nothing is out of balance. The texture is sumptuous and velvety, there is deep spicy complexity here, the fruit is very ripe but remarkably fresh. This will take a few years in bottle to reveal its full potential, but there are the makings there of a very great wine indeed. Just 375 cases were made.
