Tasting Note:

A lesser known grape indigenous to the region of Piedmont, home of Barolo and Barbaresco. Often planted on the north facing slopes the other side of the south-facing ridges where Nebbiolo is grown for Barolo production. Dolcetto is a fruity, full but soft wine with a lovely bittersweet black cherry character. Although textured and sensual this cherry character makes it an ideal candidate for slightly chilled summer drinking. This is made by one of the leading artisan estates in the region, offering sumptuous flavours of herb, morello cherry, violet and a refreshing, savoury cherry stone note.
