Tasting Note:

A warmer vintage than 2016 or 2014. As a result this wine has an intense feel of mineral extract to it. Concentrated stone, citrus pith, honeysuckle, bitter herb and stone fruit notes. Complex, ripe but clear-cut and, at 12.5% alcohol, not overwhelming by any stretch of the imagination. Sophisticated and moreish. This is produced from the 90-year-old vines of the classy volcanic Cru vineyard of La Frosca, 180 metres above sea level. The wine is mainly fermented and aged in steel tank, however 20% is fermented in used oak barrels (a minimum of three years old.) 100% Garganega.
