Tasting Note:

A large south-west facing vineyard within the Castiglione Falleto commune where the soils can vary a lot. By and large it is clay dominant. Mascarello have a particularly sandy parcel, giving the resulting wine a tendency towards softness and floral fruit. The 2012 is bursting with seductive, delicate ripe forest and summer berry fruits. Juicy, very bright and fresh. An alluring elegance on the finish with touches of violet, rose and faint hints of spice.
