Tasting Note:

Crisp and lively with a complex weave of red and black fruits, blood orange, iodine and herbs, the 2019 has great clarity and a reverberating freshness to it. Lena Oddero suggests that Serralunga always seems to fare well thanks to free draining soils. A proper Barolo Classico blend made up of 30% Rive Specola (under the tower in Santa Maria di La Morra), 30% Rocche Rivera (MGA Scarrone in Castiglione Falletto) and 40% from Serralunga d’Alba, split between Baudana and Broglio. Vinified and aged separately for 24 months in large traditional cask then blended and kept in tank for another year until bottling.
