Tasting Note:

This is the same wine as the Veccie Vigne only it is now released as a Riserva, a change purely in name only. From a single parcel of old vines within Brunate planted in 1942, produced in the same way as the other Cru wines – aged for 24 months in 25% new oak barrels. Circa 1200 bottles were made. Open sweet fruit and oak spice aromatics, more closed up on the palate but big, bold broad flavours, multi layered and intense, this takes a little coaxing out of the glass but there is so much going on after some aeration - notes of Asian spice, dark berries, rose, violets and cinnamon.
