Tasting Note:

An even bigger gap than usual between this and the regular Brunate. Wild hedgerow fruit characteristics, glorious, juicy and gripping fruit. A savoury earth and spice complexity is overlaid by such clear, alpine-fresh fruit notes of sweet strawberries and cherries together with shimmering mineral touches. Intense, awesome structure but high-toned and beautifully poised. One of the wines of the vintage. From a single parcel of old vines within Brunate planted in 1942, produced in the same way as the other Cru wines – aged for 24 months in 40% new oak barrels. Circa 1200 bottles were made.
