Tasting Note:

There is something a bit Riesling-like about this. Soft-textured smoky, stone fruit. Waxy, honeyed fruit flavours with good acidic lift. Ripe notes of peach complimented by touches of rock salt, smoked almond and nasturtium. Intriguing and brilliantly balanced. Impressively fresh still. A unique and disorientatingly good, mature Arneis Cuvee. Usually Arneis is the fresh, easy-going wine released early onto the market. We were bowled over to see one this impressive and with this much age on it. From a single plot of 70-year-old Arneis of which only 2200 bottles were made. Aged sur lie for a year in in tank, no oak, followed by five years ageing in bottle before release.
