Tasting Note:

Dense dark, spicy fruit cloaked in smooth velvety tannins. Aromatic notes of blueberry, black cherry and pepper. The voluptuous, round texture is offset by a cleansing, vibrant minerality that lifts the finish. From a fine limestone, marl and chalk-influenced vineyard at 310 metres altitude in the Verduno commune with a south / southeast exposure with a special microclimate close to the river where there are big day /night temperature differences. This yields a wine that is equally floral, mineral, smooth and powerful. Aged for one year in large oak ‘botti’ and one year in barriques with a maximum of 10 percent new wood
