Tasting Note:

A great vineyard planted with old vines dating back to 1942. Aged for one year in barriques and a year and a half in large French oak cask. A very 2004 nose, all ripe cool blueberry and bramble fruits, very herbal too, this is a classic, very fine intense and tight-packed, this is an explosion of flavour waiting to happen, bright crushed redcurrant, cassis bramble and vivid cherry flavours with intense mineral/rock salt character, scented hints of violet and dried rose, really juicy ripe and moreish through to the mile-long finish.
