Tasting Note:

Energetic, mouth-watering flavours of red and dark forest berries, crushed rocks, rose and herbs with an engaging tinge of plum, liqueur finishing or more linear, stream-lined notes of redcurrant and salt. Only made from a unique Cabernet Franc Merlot mutation grown on a rocky hill north of Siena in Tuscany at 420 meters above sea level. The wine is aged for 22 months in 70% new Burgundian oak barriques followed by a further 18 months ageing in bottle before release.3,200 magnums and 120 double magnums were made.
