Tasting Note:

Aged for 5 years in wood with concrete being used for the last part of ageing before bottling, so a little less time in wood than the 2010. Bottled in August 2019. Sweetly scented, come hither red fruit notes of kirsch and griotte. Floral and alluring yet multi-layered. Dense but so fluid and kinetic, this carries its immense concentration effortlessly, as it does the joyful sun-kissed nature of the vintage. Warming sun-ripened red berries infused with sea salt and hints of undergrowth and chalk. Rich silky and expansive. From a part of Paje with the whitest, most limestone influenced soils. First released in 1978.
