Tasting Note:

A cool, east facing vineyard planted on blue marne soils. Picked on the 26th October, at the very end of harvest, a decision of Luca Roagna's well and truly vindicated by the quality of the wine. For despite being a cool site in a cool year, this has the most glorious, velvety tannins. The cool dark berry fruits are interspersed with bright mineral notes. Flavours of blueberry and bramble roll effortlessly across the palate. Profound and with stature to it yet curvaceous and alluring, there a great sense of completeness and nobility here. Vinified for 60 days on the skins before ageing for 5 years in large used wooden tanks.
