Tasting Note:

Fleshier, more savoury and powerful than Cerequio yet this still retains a nice shape and quality of fruit. Lifted red berry fruits are joined by grounding elements such as earth, cinnamon and mineral. Open-knit flavours cloak a solid bone structure, yet there are more curves to this than can often be the case when young. Reserved but not austere. A very well-balanced Brunate. One of the great crus of Barolo, situated high up in the La Morra commune just underneath La Serra, with an east / south East exposure. Aged for two years in a mixture of barriques and large cask (30% new oak), only 500 bottles were produced.
