Tasting Note:

Mid red colour and with a brick/tawny rim. At first glance this is savoury, a little wild and rather mature-seeming. It proves to be quite the opposite. Herein lies the magic of fine wine. Leave this bottle open for three to five hours and the quality, fruit expression burst forth. Give it time and if you don’t have time, use a decanter! The nose freshens and cleans up with air, the mixture of Asian spices, smoke, undergrowth, sweet smouldering autumn fruits and kirsch flavours melt together and coat the palate. A full and hugely satisfying combination of sweet and savoury. A blend of Fossati and Case Nere that is released in magnums 10 years after the vintage. The wine is made and aged in cask the same way as all of the other crus, but kept at the estate in bottle for longer.
