Tasting Note:

An early ripening single Cru situated 650 metres above sea like Calderara but with very different soils – volcanic ash as opposed to Calderara’s harder rock. The vines are between 50 to 80 years old. Typically this one of their most accessible wines, offering a savoury earthy character mixed with ripe cherries wrapped in silky smooth tannins. Ageing is 18 months in used oak of varying sizes - barriques, demi-muids and larger barrels.
