Tasting Note:

The estate's highest vineyard ranging from 800 to 1000 metres above sea level. The vineyard is sheer, craggy and packed with stone and volcanic sand, the soil is poor. The cool climate and poor soils can make for a taciturn, tight wine in its youth, but given time it blossoms into a classical beauty; rewarding patience with a precise, powerfully mineral, stony character that is offset by a high-toned perfume. Ageing is 18 months in used oak of varying sizes - barriques, demi-muids and larger barrels.
