Tasting Note:

Spicy, savoury and dark fruited. Brambly, brooding and powerful, structured and gripping with a fruit liqueur warmth and richness. Intense long lasting flavours of berry fruit, clove, roasted meat, nutmeg and herb . The Riserva generally comes from some of the estate’s higher vineyards between 250 – 350 metres above sea level where the estate’s oldest vines are (over 70 years old.) The wine is aged in used barriques for two years followed by a year in large old oak casks.
