Tasting Note:

A tad richer than previous vintages without compromising Viviani’s hallmark vivacity and finesse. Bright cherry fruit, touches of dark chocolate, cherry stone, salt and mineral; dense but suave with a long uplifting finish. The Viviani style of Amarone verges more towards elegance and freshness, the high Mazzano vineyards help this style and the Vivianis enhance this by not allowing fermentation and maceration to go on too long, which is often responsible for developing those typical raisiny, cloyingly sweet dried characteristics of bog-standard Amarone. This was fermented after three months of the grapes drying in the Vivanis’ windy storage house.
