Whilst known best for their balanced, intense, incisive Sauvignon Blancs, the Pinards also turn their hand to some excellent Pinot Noir production - helping to put the region's reds back on the map. Hand picked, fermented and aged in oak barrels (you could be in Burgundy in vinification terms), they display intensely mineral profiles with crisp red fruit that often veers towards bittersweet red fruit and cherry stone. 2015 was the product of an excellent year for reds in Sancerre producing wines of great depth and presence.
