Tasting Note:

Produced from the Mendoza clone, believed by many to be the key to producing top quality NZ chardonnay, and boasting a beautifully pale clear lemon colour, the nose is a little reserved initially but shows some acacia and nut flavours along with plenty of stone minerality and lime flower raciness. The palate boasts a piercing acidity showing clearly that this is a cooler vintage than usual. There is great intensity to the zesty bracing flavours, and bags of underlying power, but this doubtless needs time to express itself fully. Should be wonderful in time. 13% abv
