Central Otago

Grape Variety:

Pinot Noir

Bannockburn, Pinot Noir, Central Otago, 2019

Tasting Note:

A more layered nose than normal, less primary and more complex too, rich dark fruits. Sloe, bramble, earth and raspberry fruit coat the palate with a halo of brightness giving the wine lift and length. There is a smooth structure without being too glossy. A blend of barrels from the Calvert, Cornish Point and the Elms vineyards (the latter is where the Block cuvees come from.) Fermented with 25% whole bunches and aged for 13 months in a quarter new burgundy barrels.
