Tasting Note:

More drive and grip than the Cornish point but keeps its finesse nonetheless. Seductive floral scents on the nose belying the power that lies within. Underneath the rich velvety forest fruit on the palate are hidden layers of flavours that peel back bit by bit. Rich in the complex and ripe sense of the word, without sacrificing freshness. Beautifully proportioned. Raspberry, bramble cherry stone and sloe mingle effortlessly with a richer touch of creme de mure and kirsch. More density than Cornish point and slower to reveals its qualities, but beautiful in texture and shape. With more air the perfectly-weighted flavours flood and envelop the palate. The persistence is remarkable and its overall balance never waivers. Block 3 sits within the north-facing elms vineyard. The soils here are deep silt with calcareous seams giving a deep, powerful and generous wine. Fermented with 25% whole bunches and aged for 13 months in a quarter new burgundy barrels.
