Tasting Note:

A pleat of densely packed basalt rocks with deep fissures, sitting at 600 ft in elevation, oriented south-east, this first expression site produces wines of deep mineral cores and great tension. A note here of fine black cherry amongst the smoky, stony rocky character produces something both beautiful and mysterious. On the palate pixelated red fruits, raspberry and red plums skim the palate, atop complex, starry minerality and an excellent, tailored finish. A wine of wonderful line and very neat acidity that walks the tightrope between strength and beauty.
