Tasting Note:

Very pure and crisp meyer lemon and lemongrass with a detailed stoniness and the fine faint background noise of smoke and crushed flint. Green apricot and lemon zest on the palate provide an overriding sense of freshness and precision. Wonderfully fine boned in texture, clean lines married to very moreish ripe acidity make this is pretty hard to resist. Bottled after 10 months in (mostly old) barrique, this blend comes from across the Walter Scott single vineyard holdings and is a wonderfully tonic bottling that held it’s taut shape over a three days of tasting, with that faint smoky, Boisson Vadot/Roulot/PCYM never more than an extra layer. Crisp, balanced and refreshing Chardonnay from one of the finest proponents in the Willamette Valley.
