The Seven Springs Chardonnay comes from a block of very rocky volcanic Nekai soils on the vineyard’s famed east bench, catching the morning sun, but protected from the fiercest afternoon heat. The 2017 is a wine of great purity and subtlety, with a fine salt and citrus core, fennel seeds, lacy white flowers and river stones. A wine of class, finesse and tension.
