Tasting Note:

The B block that Ken and Erica pull their fruit from sits on the east ridge of the iconic Seven Springs vineyard, just above Lone Star, facing east, protected from the worst of the van Duzer winds. The soils are pure volcanic, very rocky and planted to four different Dijon clones. The final blend comprises around 30% whole cluster and 35% new oak, not that you'd know it. A floral, refined, delicate pinot of great breeding and definition, there are plenty of crushed rock notes and wild salted berries, spice and wild flowers set on a bed of the finest grain tannins and a palpable sense of tension.
